The first Chiropractic adjustment was performed in 1895 although it is bases on techniques that have been around a lot longer. The word Chiropractic comes from the Greek words cheir meaning "hand" and praktos meaning "done".
Chiropractors emphasize the conservative management of the neuromusculoskeletal system without the use of medicines or surgery with special emphasis on the spine. Chiropractors use their hands to adjust the joints of your spine and other areas of the body to remove restrictions in their movements. Poor movements disrupts the function of tissues and nerves and may affect the body's natural ability to recover from injury, decrease resistance to disease and lower your performance level. The body is worked on as a whole this means that all areas of the body can be treated, not only the spine.

Spinal Manipulation is a small therapeutic thrust performed on spinal articulations which are synovial joints, this is where a small audible click maybe heard. Manipulation is also known as an 'adjustment' or the term, high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) thrust. It takes locked/stiff joints through their normal range of motion to free movement and allow for natural range of movement.

Thumper which is a machine that vibrates through muscles to redistrubte lactic acid (the muscles waste product) and soften up muscle fibres.

Dry Needling, is the treatment of trigger points for persons with myofascial pain syndrome, it is an invasive procedure in which a filiform (very fine) needle is inserted into the skin and muscle directly at a myofascial trigger point. A myofascial trigger point consists of multiple contraction knots, which are related to the production and maintenance of the pain cycle. Dry needling helps remove these knots.

Trigger Point Therapy is the pressure on the tight knots within the muscle belly. It can vary from static presure to massage. This helps to remove muscle tension and relive pain.
